Luurnpa Catholic School, Balgo, Wirrumanu.

Luurnpa Catholic School serves the families of the Wirrumanu Aboriginal Community of Balgo. The Kutjubgka Trade Training Centre provides training for Balgo, Mulan and Billiluna. Balgo is about 250km by road south-east of Halls Creek in the Great Sandy Desert by the Tanami Rd and Maguire Track. The Tanami Road crosses Sturt Creek which can flood during the wet season partiicularly when its waters are slow to flow into Gregory Salt Lake which has no outlet. The airstrip is elevated and almost always available. The airstrip can accommodate the RAAF Hercules.
